Pontymister Athletic Bowls Club est 1912

Welcome to Pontymister Athletic Bowls Club. This is a sport for all ages young and old. You will be joining a club with a proud history, and also with a promising future. We are always seeking new members so don’t be afraid to come and join us for a beer in our bar, or come and sit on a bench and watch a few games of bowls.

As a bowls club we have reached the dizzy heights of being the best team in Wales and are currently in Monmouthshire div 1 having gained promotion last year back to the top flight.

As an individual bowler you can play in your local club comps or for the more competitive bowlers play county comps and even go on to represent your country in various events, right up to the Commonwealth Games. But don’t be put off if your just looking for a bit of relaxation and a nice pint after, bowls has it all.

We also have a very active social side to the club which involves local bands, artists etc during the season. We have a social night during the off season on a thursday night and are welcome to pop in anytime.

Green is looking fantastic ready for the the 2018 season.

Thanks must go to the working party who have worked really hard to get the green ready in time with new ditches. A bit of sun would be nice now please ??
